The Waltz-Astoria is a great coffee shop/music venue at 23 - 14 Ditmars Boulevard, Astoria, Queens. This holiday Fair will go from 10 to 6 this coming Sunday, and from what i understand, there will be an awesome assortment of artists with their wares.

Better Late than Never!

My jewelry shows on friday and saturday were gangbusters.

Friday night at Arthouse was the Hudson County Arts Slam, and it was amazing! Tons of art displayed all around the room, great live music, an area set up for guests to participate in painting, slam poets, and at some point there was a quantum of Lego spilled out on the floor for all to enjoy.

I met a ton of great people, and sold enough jewelry to run me out of my little velvet bags, so we picked some more up on the way to Marti's on Saturday!

For the trunk show, don and I drove in from Jersey... forgetting what a nightmare parking is on the east side. Seriously? All muni-meters? What is the deal with those things anyway? But that didn't stop us! Marti greeted us with all kinds of tasty treats, and we had a lovely afternoon soiree.

Now I need to buckle down and replenish my store, it's growing thin again. maybe if the sun ever came out i could snap some better photos. :)

Successful weekend... wow!

Thanks to EVERYONE who made this weekend a super success for Alexlady Designs! Special love out to Roland Ramos and Marti J Cooney. Both the Jersey City show and the Manhattan show were fantastic, and we all had a great time! Good food, good conversation, and a little holiday shopping all in one!

Such an exciting weekend!!

I'm really pumped about my two shows this weekend. I had a finger injury just before Thanksgiving that was keeping me away from my pliers... um, complete torture... but I'm back in bidniss and I've been creating all kinds of new designs!

23 Shopping Days... Stocking Stuffers Under $10!

I love stocking stuffers. My mom would always put together these giant stockings for my sister and i, and wrap each and every tiny thing, down to individual cap erasers, with a tangerine at the toe, and we were allowed to open them the moment we got up on Christmas Day! I realize now this was because she was trying to get a couple extra minutes of shuteye after staying up all night scraping the orange Toys R Us stickers off of things.
